Around the sterilization

A sterility guarantee can only be issued if the instrument preparation has included all the following processes without exception

1. Proper cleaning and disinfection of the instruments – instrument maintenance
2. Proper packaging
3. Proper sterilisation and drying
4. Proper transportation
5. Proper storage
6. Proper opening

The release of the sterile materials confirms correct preparation. Every process must be documented. The documentation forms part of the QM hygiene plan.
